It’s hard.
But there’s plenty of difficulty around at the moment to practise on.
Just in these last few days, we’ve had the nail-biting U.S. election.
Many of us are back in lockdown.
Lives and livelihoods are being threatened all over the world.
And we’re here to offer support in these difficult times.
So here’s a little something…
It’s taken from my (John’s) membership ‘F**k It Revolution’ –
a band of F**k It Revolutionaries learning how to bring a revolution into our lives by changing the scripts that run through our heads.
Because we’ve recently been looking deeply at RELAXATION and, in particular,
The Science of Relaxation.
And I want to share one piece of the work we’ve been doing over the last month.
It’s a relaxation technique called ‘autogenic training’.
It’s a very particular way of relaxing yourself down –
tried-and-tested, and used by many people over the years.
I love it.
And our revolutionaries have been loving it, and getting a lot of benefit from it.
In particular in helping them SLEEP.
A Taste of Relaxation 101
from John’s ‘F**k It Revolution’ membership
These are clips from a live session on John’s membership (which opens only occasionally to new members).
This a seriously good relaxation technique:
So don’t do it whilst driving, or working with machinery or anything else where it would be risky to be relaxing deeply.
And do make sure you ‘wake up’ before you move on to something else (so do use the ‘coming back’ recording too, to help you do that.)
Autogenic Training
Coming Back
Have a listen.
Do remember, please, that this is a strong relaxation technique.
Don’t do it whilst… driving, or working with machinery or anything else where it would be risky to be relaxing deeply.
And do make sure you ‘wake up’ before you move on to something else
(there is a ‘coming back’ recording too, to help you do that.)
I’ve been practising this (again) over the last few weeks.
And it really is super-powerful.
It’s worth listening to it a few times, and then memorising the instructions so that you can do it without the recording.
Then you can do it whenever you need to…
- When you’re wanting to get off to sleep, or back to sleep
- When you’re stressed and you need to relax
- When you’d normally turn to a chocolate bar, or a glass of something to settle yourself
I’ve worked with a tonne of relaxation methods over the last 30 years,
and this really is a good one.
Our gift to you.
In these difficult times.
Love,
John & Gaia xx
Thank you
oh WOW. This is fantastic. Thank you so much. Will definitely memorise and use going forward. Still floating at time of writing!!
